Joyful Things Society started with a friendship. A Bible study brought us together, and somewhere between our shared faith, a lot of laughter, and our love for creating and finding beautiful things, we started dreaming up JTS.
We’re Katie and Carlotta. We love Jesus, love our families, and find joy in the little things: a beautiful piece of art, mahjong with friends, a great book, a really good iced coffee, and anything that makes an ordinary day feel special.
Somewhere along the way, our love for creating, gathering, giving, and finding those little things that bring joy turned into something we wanted to share. And Joyful Things Society was born.
But for us, the heart behind JTS goes deeper than lovely things.
Scripture tells us to “count it all joy” (James 1:2), even in seasons we would never choose. We believe this kind of joy isn’t dependent on our circumstances. It’s rooted in knowing God, trusting Him, and recognizing His goodness.
We believe the gifts God gives us are meant to be used for His purpose, and we want to steward them faithfully in all that we create. Jesus calls us in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples,” and we want to be faithful to that calling wherever God places us. Through JTS, we hope to point others toward the lasting joy found in Him.
At the foundation of JTS is a faith rooted in Jesus and guided by His Word. It isn’t simply part of the brand. It’s what we’re building upon.
Count it all joy. Notice the good. Remember the Giver.
